FASHION NOTES.

RETURN OF FORMER STYLES THE DIVIDED SKIRT MODE. (By A PARISIAN EXPERT.) Harbingers of spring are early this year, and some of the Parisian dressmakers are taking inspiration from the clothes our mothers wore in 1902, adding a modern touch. There is a profusion of flowers, bows, and dainty embroidery, not in quantities on any single costume, but each dress or ensemble has a pretty bow, a colourful nosegay, or a finely embroidered flower design somewhere. Another reminder t)f the clothes of twenty or thirty years ago, is braid used on form-fitting jacket blouses. Anticipating an early and warm summer, the favoured material is silk. In place of the sports tweed suits, are cute little ensembles of three pieces. The skirt and three-quarter coat are developed in heavy silk, and the blouse in printed crepe, or contrasting coloured silk.
