• 1.-, —_ PRICES AT FEILDING. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) FEILDING-, Friday. Pi-ices for fat slieep at the Feilding stock sale to-day improved and the quality was also better. Fat lambs, heavy, sold to 20/6; fat ewes, to 14/; fat wethers, to 18/6; and black-faced wethers,,, to 16/. There was a small yarding of store sheep. Really good two-tooth ewes, running with Southdown rams, made 18/. Fat cattle made up to 18/ per 1001b. Dairy cattle were dull of sale. Springing heifers brought up to £8 10/ and springing cows, to £6 15/. CLEARANCE SALE. The stock of Mr. P. M. Gray, of Taupiri, was sold on Wednesday by Messrs. Vereoe and Co., of Hamilton. The herd consisted of forty Shorthorns and thirty grade Jerseys. The highest price realised was £10 10/ and the average £6 15/. While the prices were generally considerably below those paid a year or two ago, the sale was considered a very satisfactory one. POVERTY BAY VALUES. (By OVsgjrajA.—Special to "Star/') __ GISBORNE, this day. At the Gisborne sale fat sheep declined in sympathy with the reduction of export values. There was a large entry of ewes. Primest realised 10/, good 9/ to 9/6, average 8/ to 9/, some below 8/; lambs, 9/4; second grade ewes, young 7/6, others 5/ to 6/9. Store slieep: The season's smallest entry, namely, 3000. There was a slack sale. Breeding ewes, good, 8/1 to 8/2; fairly good, 6/; hoggets, good, 6/3 to 6/5; fairly good, 5/6 to 6/1; wethers, big, meaty, 9/1; good stores, 7/9 to 8/7medium, 6/1 to 6/11; empty ewes, two-' | tooths, 6/2 to 7/1; older, 4/1 to 5/11; fair 3/5. ... ■* 1
