FLUCTUATIONS IN SHARES. MORE BUSINESS DOING. After a slack period yesterday morning business on the local Stock Exchange brightened up during the afternoon, and a good list of sales were recorded before brokers closed down for the day. This morning fresh sales were added at the call and bidding was fairly brisk. In the banking section buyers showed more confidence. For English and Scottish £4 was offered, and for New South Wales £24 17/6. In the pastoral section Goldsbrough, Morts firmed a little, with buyers at 19/.
