There is glorious weather anil a large attendance for the' Ashburton Trotting Club's winter meeting. The course is in splendid condition. In the first event there was a bad smash in front of the stand. Just after the start Red Clover fell and brought Gunfire, Warbird, Logan Fraser, Jester and Ainsworthy down. Symmetry's gear was damaged and he was pulled up. Two drivers were injured, but nobody was sent to hopital. Results: —
