WANTED ON SWEEPS LAW. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, June 12. Speaking in the House of Commons the Home Secretary, Mr. J. R. Clynes, stated that the Government had given careful consideration to suggestions that an inquiry should be held into the lottery and sweepstake laws, but it was not satisfied on its present information that the balance of opinion rn Parliament or the country was in favour of a revision of the existing laws.
