THEFT FROM BANK.

HEAVY PRISON SENTENCES. SYDNEY, June 12. The theft of £5000 in notes from the Australian Bank of Commerce in December, 1929, had a sequel at the quarter sessions to-day, when Arnold Walker, a°ed 42, was sentenced to imprisonment for five years. Williams Evans, aged 49, was sentenced to imprisonment for four years, and Joseph Wall, aged 58, for two years. The judge expressed the opinion that the bank's staff had displayed negligence..
