The hearing of one charge of unlawful carnal knowledge and several charges of indecent assault of girl pupils of the Tikorangi Primary School, preferred against Arthur Freeman Palmer, the headmaster, aged 45,. occupied the Supreme Court for three days. After a retirement of over five hours the jury to-night announced a disagreement. A new trial next week was ordered.
