ROTORUA BATH FEES.
ANOTHER GOVERNMENT CUT,
BOROUGH LOSES TEX PER CENT.
ROTORUA, Thursday.
The proposed reduction of the bath fees paid by the Government to the Rotorun Boronirli Council was further discussed on Wednesday evening, when the district, manager of the Tourist Department wrote stating that the reduction of 10 per cent in' the payment to the borouah was provided' for by Act of Parliament. Several members expressed disapproval of the Government's action in breaking an agreement entered into for the payment of a specific proportion of the fees, but in view of the fact that legislation had been fiassed validating the action it was decided to proceed nr* further with the protest.
