SCRUB FIRES.
DRY SPELL IN CHRISTCHURCH. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. For this time of the year Christchurch has experienced a good spell of sunny weather and mild temperatures. An outbreak at New Brighton threatened several houses, and a grass fire on Clifton Hill, Sumner, and gave residents an anxious time.
