LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
CITY CLUB MEETINGS.
The City Rugby League Club held a meeting at Carlaw Park on Thursday, Mr. R. W. Pollock presiding. It was reported that the Parnell Club ltad amalgamated with City and the new officials and players were extended a hearty welcome. Teams are being entered in senior, reserve senior, first Junior, third intermediate, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh grades, and also in the primary school competition. RESULTS IN ENGLAND. LONDON, April 25. The results of the football matches played to-day under Northern Union rules were as follows :—League championship semi-finals: Leeds IS,, v. Wigan 0; Swinr.on 16, v. Oldham 3. In other matches the scores were:—Batley 15, v. Castleford 0: Halifax 16. v. Featherstone Kovers 3; Rochdale 26. v. Barrow 12; Wigan Highfield 40. v. Bramley 0; York 16, v. Hull 8; Leigh 0. v. Warrington 16; St. Helens 25, v. Hull Kingston Rovers 5.
