WHANGAREI NOTES.

Miss Alyra Djgnan, Mount Eden, has been the guest of her aunt, Mrs. A. J. Mackay, Mill Road, for a short holiday. Mrs. Bond has returned to her home at Te Awamutu, after a visit to her daughter, Mrs. Marshall, Manse Street. Miss Myrtle Burns, who lias been visiting Mrs. J. G. Robertson, Mill Road, has returned to her home in Auckland. Mrs. Asliby, Auckland, is the guest of Mrs. McEnnis, Hatea Road. Mrs. A. C. Lamb, Main's Avenue, has returned home from a visit to Auckland. Miss Tanner has been visiting Mrs. Farmer, Manse Street. Miss Ena Jackson spent last week-end in Auckland. Mrs. Frazerhurst, Auckland, who been visiting Mrs. Kadeliffe, motored byek to Auckland with Miss Radcliffc last week. Mrs. Murray and Miss Nancy Murray, Auckland, are the guests of Airs. A. D. Jack. Mr. and Mrs. Greenslade have returned to Hamilton, after a visit to Whangarei. Mrs. J. D. McDonald, Thames, recently paid a short visit to her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Goodridge, Kamo Road. Airs. Crane, Kuatangata, is on a visit to friends in the South. Mrs. Black, Kamo Roarl, has returned from a holiday spent in Auckland Miss Fox, New Plymouth, the newly-appointed dental uursc, has arrived in Whangarei. Miss Flossie Webb, who has been visiting her parents, Air. and Mrs. L. Webb, Helena Bay, after eight months spent in Sydney, left for Auckland last week. Mrs. W. Moody, who has been the guest of the Misses Moody, Main Street, and Mrs. Birdlirtg. Furua, has returned to her home in Auckland. On Friday evening the Women's Club held the first open night of the bridge season, when a husbands' versus wives' competition was played. The wives won by several points, the prizes for the highest scores being won by Airs. Reid and Airs. Geissler.
