The Australian Jockey Club announces that it ha 3 decided on a reduction of prize money, as the receipts from all quarters have fallen off considerably. The following are the principal '"cuts": Epsom Handicap, from 3000sovs to 2000 sovs; Metropolitan Handicap, from 6000 sots to 3500sovs; Breeders' Plate, from laOOsove to lOOOsovs; Gimcrack Stakes, from 1500sovs to lOOOsova; December Stakes, from 2000sova to loOOsovs; A.J.C. Derby, from SOOOsovs to 50003ovs; Adrian Knox Stakes, from 1500oovs to lOOOsovs; A.J.C. St. Leger, from 2000 sovs to loOOsovs; A.J.C. Sires' Produce Stakes, from SOOOsovs to 3000sovs; and A.J.C. Champagne Stakes, from 3000sovs to 2000sovs.
