HIS BEST EFFORTS. Wee Prince, who figures in the Maiden Stakes at, the Waikato meeting, has started on several occasions this season, and his best efforts so far were in finishing second to Gold Day on the first day of the Taumarunui meeting and occupying a similar position to Gallant Jack on the second. Since then-he has failed to get into the money.
