At the Whitiora croquet lawns on Wednesday an afternoon tea was given by the president, Mrs. Turbott, in honour cf Mrs. Evans. Those present included Mesdames Turbott, Evans, Lock, D. Andrews, Green, Drubc, P. D. Pinfold, Gall, Street, Lowry, Loveridge, Nisbet, Nealie, Edwards, Dillicar, Crowhurst, IbbOtSon, Martin, Jones, Marsh, Misses Ibbotson, Jones. On Thursday at the Frankton railway croquet lawns an afternoon tea was given in honour of the retiring president, Mrs. D. Martin. Those present were:—Mesdames Martin, Buckley, 80l-

A reception was held at "Riversdaie, Matamata, on Wednesday, after the marriage of Flora Duxfleld, of Matamata, and Ralph Long, of Te Atoha. The guests were received by the bride's mother, Mrs. Duxfleld, in a frock of black georgette and black and white hat.
