The "Manawatu Standard" lids been informed on good authority that tha Arbitration Court has not yet fixed a dtae for the hearing of the application for a general order under the Finance Act in regard to a reduction on the award rates of wages. The fixture Will bo made wh«n" the Court receives official intimation that the Act has received the signature of;the Governor-j General. Reasonable notice, probably of some Veeks, will be given by the Court to tho parties concerned, to enable theui to arrange their cases and to evidence. 1
