DAMAGES CLAIMED.
i Greyhound Racing Stopped in Shanghai. AUTHORITIES SUED. (Received 10 a.m.) SHANGHAI, April 13. Writs for damages totalling £250,000 have been filed in the British Consular Court by suppressed greyhound racing bodies. The defendants are the chairman of the Municipal Council and the Commissioner of Police of the International Settlement, ' who allegedly authorised interference with the legitimate earnings of British registered companies. Greyhound racing in the International Settlement ceased on April 4 when the police barricaded the approaches and the entrances to Luna Park, Shanghai's principal track, effectively preventing the meeting.
