AUCTION MERGER.
SELLING OF LIVESTOCK. PROPOSAL FOR WELLINGTON. According to the "Dominion" a. movement is afoot for. the pooling of the auctioneering organisations of stock-and-Sonbusinesles in the Wellington provincial districts, thereby, eliminating, the need for a number of auctioneers and their staffs attending all the minor stock sales. It is understood that an agreement on these lines has been reached by stock firms in Wellington Province, and that arrangements are almost complete tor toe formation of a company to be known as Live Stock, Ltd. The scheme put forward, it is stated, provides for what amounts ,to amalgamation an the selling of live stock. With the exception of one co-operative concern, stock firms in Wellington, Wairarapa,. Manawatu and Taranaki are to subscribe to the new company.
