By a new tune-table arrangement the Canadian Conqueror, due at Auckland to-day, will proceed to Australian ports after discharging cargo at several New' Zealand Ports. She win return direct to Canada without again touching at New Zealand. The local agents of .the Canadian Aationai Steamships were informed last week that if the ships of this lino carried cargo between New Zealand and Australia they would receive the same treatment as that recently meted out to the foreign ships.. , .Representatives of the foreign shipPing conpanies will ask the Shipowners' •federation to-morrow to- request an assurance from the Government that the affairs of the country will be controlled b y constitutional means, and that trade will not be held up. at the dictation of the Seamen's Union.
