TEST ELECTION.

Municipal Polling in Spain Causes Excitement. MONARCHY V. REPUBLIC. MADRID, April 12. Intense excitement prevails throughout Spain in connection with to-day's municipal elections, which are regarded as a rehearsal for the general election in June. The voting is expected dearly to indicate, the strength of the Monarchist and Republican feeling. The campaign has been marked by unusually violent language. In many cities the various Monarchist parties have coalesced and the antiMonarchist parties have done the same, in order to permit of a clear-cut issue. The newspapers are so partisan that they have refused opponents' advertising. The entire forces of the Church are supporting the Monarchists.
