BEEF CATTLE PRICES.

There is a big disparity at present between the prices obtained for beef cattle in Auckland and at Addington market. At last Westfield sale choice ox beef made from 20/ to 23/ per 1001b, while at Addington tho rate was 31/ to 34/6. Top price per head ■at Westfield was £9 5/. At Addington the market was topped by a pair of steers in a line of seventeen from A. K. Birdling (Birdling's Flat), which Hold at £11 12/0 to £17 7/6, averaging £lo" 10/. Tho cattle wore Shorthorns and and wcro in very prime condition.
