BOXING.
| DONOVAN AND HUGHES. With each man keen to meet the other, the fight between Tommy Dono- | van and Archie Hughes, 'New South > Wales feather-weight champion, at the . Town Hall next Monday evening, should . hold more than ordinary interest for Auckland fight fans. Boxing critics throughout the Dominion are viewing the fight with interest on account of Hughes' victories over the Americans, Thomas and Whitlow, who will both meet Donovan within the next few weeks, and it is expected to give some line on Donovan's chances I against the visitors. The local followers of the sport are also alive to the import- , ance of the match, and keen interest is being shown in the gymnasiums, especially at the Parnell gymnasium, where .
