LAST WEEK'S SOLUTIONS. TWO MORE PROBLEMS. SERIES NO. 2. Readers -\vlio applied themeelves to last week's pro.blems soon found a solution to the trick as illustrated here.
The surprising simplicity of the various jjioves is what no doubt caused many to go wrong jn the early stages. This week you have to take 32 matches and arrange ae indicated with matchbox in centre. Suppose the matchbox the castle and the matches the garrison. Take four soldiers away and leave 12 on each side; then add eight more and still have only 12 on each side.
The solution will appear next week together with another set of puzzles.
