HINTS TO YOUNG BOXERS.
The first and most important thing that any boy learns in boxing is to keep his eyes fixed as much as possible on the eyes of his opponent. The eyes indicate better than the hands where and when a blow is likely to be aimed. They show, too, the feelings of the antagonist, and by this you can learn where you can most successfully make your next attack. You yourself must try to reveal as little as possible by your face. Remember that, given reasonable equality of powers and reach, boxing is a tremendous battle of wits and tactics.
