ANOTHER GOOD APPRENTICE,

When L. Faulkiner won on Hystride at Waipukurau on Monday, it was his first win, eo that all R. E. Hatch's apprentices liaVe now been "blooded." Faulkiner is a son of the late Frank Faulkiner, who was killed by a fall off Wartax in a hurdle race at Oamaru in May, 1922. Hatch is very enthusiastic regarding the future of this lad,- who has- only cbmmenced his'career in the saddle.
