DUNEDIN WOOL SALE.

FINE GRADES ADVANCE. SUPER CROSSBREDS EASIER. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Friday, The fourth and final wool sale in Dunedin this season was held to-day, [when the largest catalogue for the season was offered to a full bench of buyers. The rise in prices at the March sale caused the majority of growers who were holding clips for better prices to send them in for sale. Bidding was very keen, but it was noticeable that the market conditions prevailing in March had undergone a change, in that super halfbred wools showed an advance in price, whereas showy crossbreda, particularly from the Tapanui district, sold at reduced prices. The reason for the drop in extra super crossbreds was the absence of buyers from Japan, whose competition was missed on this class of wool. Both Bradford and Continental buyers were b'dding, but the bulk of the catalogues was lifted by the latter, who dominated the market. Prices of bellies and pieces showed an advance on the last sale held here. Growers' reserves on a number of clips particularly crossbred, were too high! with the result that there was a number of passed lots, but these would not exceed 5 per cent to 7* per cent of the catalogues. FoUowing are the official prices for the sale, which comp-ised 27,826 bales:— Merino, 60-64— Extra super _ 113 Super r W Average 73 to 83 !nferior .V.W 6 ' J ™ f *
