OFFICE FOR LOCAL BODIES. ECONOMY PROPOSALS. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star. 1 ) NAPIER, this d&y. A suggestion that all local authorities, with headquarters at Napier, should occupy one building when the city was rebuilt, was commended by Commissioner J. S . Barton, whan the matter was refered to him. It was explained tg Mr. Barton th»t the purpose of such a proposal would be to effect economy. The occupation of one building by the Napier City Council, the Napier Harbour.Board, the Hawke's Bay County Council, the Hawke's Bay" Rivers Board, the Hawke's Bay- Power Boar<|> the Hawke's Bay Education Board, ahd the Secondary Schools' Board, would* i$ was contended, mean a considerable* saving. ."The advantages of such a proposal are obvious," was Mr. Barton's, brief comment.
