RUGBY FOOTBALL.
WHANGAREI REFEREES. VISIT BY MR. DAN McKENZIE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. The annual meeting of the Whangarei Rugby Referees' Association yesterday was privileged to have present Mr. Dan McKenzie, of Wellington, chairman of the New Zealand executive committee, who explained points in connection with the game.. The annual report and balance-sheet showed the Whangarei Association to be in a satisfactory position. The election of officers resulted:— President, Mr. J. B. McEwan (reelected) ; vice-president, Mr. Don. McLeod (re-elected); secretary and treasurer, Mr. L. Hallett; delegate to the Whangarei Rugby Union, Mr. Don. McLeod.
TE AROHA REFEREES' ASSOCIATION
The annual meeting of the Te Aroha Referees' Association was held on Thursday evening, when the following officers were clotted: Patron, Mr. G. Page; president, Mr. A. 11. Smith; vice-president; Mr. Q. P. .Atkins; secretary, Mr. A. 11. Whatford; delegates to Thames Valley Union, Messrs. Smith and McSweeney;- delegate te Te Aroha Union, Mr. A. Whatford.
