EASTER BOWLING.

EXECUTIVE FINAL

CENTRE QUARTER RESULTS.

RESULTS OF TO-DAY'S PLAY.

Post-eection play in the Easter Fours and the Executive Fours, interrupted early yesterday afternoon by an inopportune break in the weather, was resumed on the Carlton green this morning, the competitors being eight of the ten rinks who qualified in the section play of the Easter Fours (the preliminary round having eliminated two rinks yesterday morning), and also the two section winners in the Executive Fours, the official representatives of Rocky Nook and St. Helier's.

Play had only progressed for about an hour yesterday afternoon when heavy rain set in, and the games were resumed this morning as from *he positions held when play stopped. The results were as follow:—

Executive Fours (Final). J. C. Yeo, W. H. Tongue, W. A. Loram, W. H. Keatley (Rocky Nook) 19, v. A. Twiname, H. J. Smith, T. Price, W. Philip (St. Helier's) 14.

Rocky Nook started this morning with the score 8 to 1 from yesterday's play, and they .maintained the substantial lead throughout. Both sides played excellent bowls. At the conclusion of the match the Kohn Cup was presented to the winning skip by the president of the centre, Mr. J. F. Thompson. Mr. Keatley passed over the cup to the president of the Rocky Nook Club, Mr. W. H. Tongue, who responded on behalf of the team.

Easter Fours. Short, Hill, Macfarlane, Russell (Remuera) 18, v. Cave, Hull, Gatenby, Miller (Mount Eden) 15; Israel, Fletcher, Ure, Kummer (Auckland) 24, v. Percy, Donald, Jones, Gifford (Dominion Road) 14; Wilson, Campbell, Parker, Walker (Auckland) 23, v. Lyell, Schmoll, Moir, Muston (Auckland) 13; R. Reid, S. Reid, Johnson, McMaster (Stanley) 24, v. Duncan, Williams, Maher, Woolley (Auckland) 14.

Miller was leading Eussell when play was interrupted yesterday, but the latter scored 5 on the first head this morning, and maintained the lead throughout. Kummer started this morning with a lead of 8 to 1, but steady play made the score 11 all on the 13th head, after which the Auckland team again took command and won rather easily. Walker led Muston all the way, the latter being unable to support his team with the consistent play he usually shows. McMaster started the morning with the score 8 to 1 in his favour on the fifth head, and led fairly easily all the way. The last head was rather peculiar, Maher and Woolley each missing two drives in attempts to burn the head. In each case they struck the guarding bowl which their players had put in front of the jack.
