On account of the late Mr. J. S, Barrett Ties Sec, by Grandcourt—San Pluie, two years, was sold for 80gs to Mr. L. P. Barrett. On account of Mr. G. H. Grigg, Cdroner, by Shambles—Coronata, three years, was 6old for Bogs to Mr. T. Lister. These were, the top prices. x

PAITONU FOR AVONDALE,

Eastertime; Airtight, Skyrider and Otairi, who were competing at the Auckland meeting, will be railed home I to-day. The Hawera trainer, J. Fryer, is keeping his team here for the Avondale . meeting, which opens next Saturday. I Paitonu, also trained by Fryer, is due to ' arrive from the South on Thursday j morning to fulfil engagements at the I • same fixture.
