MARKET UNCHANGED

BIG ARRIVALS TO-DAY

The intervention of the Easter vacation since Jaet report naturally restricted the volume of business in grain and produce, and there was practically no change in the position to report to-day. Shipments of grain from the South, chaff from Blenheim, and maize from Gisborne arrived this morning to replenish stocks.

Potatoes. Supplies of potatoes are still oomiui? in freely from Pukekohe and small quantities also have come to 'hand from Manawatu, aleo the South Island. _ From the latter place substantial quantities ot pota.toes are not expected for a few weeks vet. .

Onions. Victorian and Canterbury onions are now on this market, but stocks, of those grown at* Pukekohe are now getting somewhat limited.

Oats and Chaff. More of the new season's oats are new •being offered on this market. The demand for Algerian seed is email this season ill Auckland, in spite of the fact that the price is 1/6 per bushel lower than it was this time last year. A shipment of chan came to hand this morning.

Wheat and Maize. The' position of the market for' both these lines shows no change. A shipment of maize came to hand from Gusborne this morning, also of other grain i-rom the South Island.

Barley. Better sales are reported of barley owing to that gi-ain being cheap for feeding stock at V for ,the 501b bushel. . Bran and Chaff.

The rains have revived pastures, with the result .that there is less demand tor bran and pollard for stock feeding purposes.

Wholesale Current Prices. Pollard and Bran.—Mill prices: Pollard, £6 per ton; bran, £5 15/ per ton. Merchants' prices: Australian pollard, £6 to £6 10/ per ton; bran, £6 5/. Oats—Feed: B Gartons, 3/8 per bushel, A Gartons 3/9, clipped Duns 5/3, clipped Algerians 5/, clipped Gartons, 4/6. Fowl Wheat.—6/6 to 6/8 per bushel. Maize.—Local, 5/8 per bushel, ex store. Barley.—Feed: 4/ per bushel. Seed: Cape barley, 6/ per bushel. Maize Meal—lo/ per 1001b. Barley Meal. —10/ per 1001b. Chaff.—G.b.o.s., £8 per ton, Blenheim or .Canterbury. Potatoes. — £6 15/ per ton, ex store; £6 10/ on trucks, Pukekohe; Manawatu, £8 10/ per ton. Onions. —10/ per cwt, ex store, and 9/ on trucks, Pukekohe; Victorian, 8/6; Canterbury, 8/6 to 9/.
