WORK NEARING COMPLETION.

NAPIER, Monday.

A good road between Napier and the breakwater, to replace the one buried by the landslide on February 3, is nearing completion. A large gang of men is engaged on the construction work. A passage was cut through the mountainous pile of debris at the foot, of the Bluff and shingle has been spread over the floor of it. The road will provide an easy route t<i Port Ahuriri.
