HAMILTON, Monday.

The Auckland Marist Rugby team to-day defeated the Wellington Marist team, the holder, in the final of the North Island championship for the Spillane Cup, played at Rugby Park. The score was 11 to 3 in favour of Auckland. For Auckland Cornthwaite, Trigg and Muller scored tries, Evans converting one. McGreevy scored a try for Wellington. A game was played between Hamilton ana Wanganui, the two losing teams of Saturday. Hamilton being successful by 11 points to 5. Clarkin and McCormack scored tries for Hamilton, Clarke converting one and, kicking a penalty goal. Cannody scored for Wanganui, Hannan converting. j
