HUTMENTS FOR REFUGEES.

ERECTION ON BEACH.

SUGGESTION TO COMMITTEE

(From Our Own Correspondent.)

NAPIER, Monday.

A suggestion that a number of hutments should be erected on the Marine Parade Beach to accommodate a number of refugees returning to Napier, is to be made to the local* relief committee by Mr. C. 0. Morse. "In view of the large number of Napier residents returning the question of accommodation is becoming more vital, states Mr. Morse. "In my opinion, the erection of from 200 to 250 hutments on the beach would solve the problem nicely, and would be much better than erecting them on Nelson Park. Not only would the sewerage _ question be an easier one to cope with, but also we have to consider the advantage setting the park aside for winter sports.
