The second day of the Australian Jockey Club's autumn meeting was held at Randwick to-day in fine weather. The attendance totalled 55,000. An early morning shower , provided a holding track.
The Dimmer, which carried the support of backers, won the Sydney Ctip with ease. He was always nicely placed, and went away from the field in the straight.

They ran in that order to the top of the straight/ where The Dimmer, who moved smartly round the field, joined issue with Balloon King from First Acre Inducement, Toilus and Alcman.
