HONOURS FOR FIREMEN.
LONG SERVICE RECOGNISED.

THAMES, this day.
The annual meeting of the Thames Volunteer Fire Brigade was held on Thursday. The following officers were elected: — Superintendent, Mr. L. Alexander; deputy superintendent, Mr. A. Fleming; north foreman, Mr. F. Wilston; south foreman, Mr. E. Kenny; secretary, Mr. C. Scott; treasurer, Mr. J. Pratt. The following honours were presented:—Superintendent A Garrett, two years' gold bar for completing 35 years' service; Fireman A* Winder, five years' silver medal; Fireman A. Bateman, two years' silver bar for completing 17 years; and Fireman C. Cameron, three years' certificate.
