TUAKAU, Tuesday,
The annual meeting of the Tuakau District Kecreation Club was held last evening, Mr. J. Fulton presiding. The report stated that the membership stood at 55. The purchase price of the land was £1500, and £700 remained on mortgage. Since its inception the club had provided grounds for tennis, football and liockey. Officers elected were: —Patron, Mr. W. Lee Martin, M.P.; president, Mr. G-. Arrowsmit.h; vice-president, Mr. A. A. Boyd; secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. J. Maiden; auditor, Mr. A. H. Tapper; committee, Messrs. W. J. Deeble, M. Cruickshank, J. Logan, J. Gilmour, Mesdames S. Lewis, Logan and Miss D. Glasgow.
