STOLEN CAR DAMAGED.
DRIVER SENT TO PRISON
PREVIOUS SIMILAR CHARGES
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Eric John Bonner, who ran into a train near Paekakariki on March 17, pleaded guilty to-day to the unlawful conversion of a car valued at £205, the property of A. W. H. Tilley, and was sentenced by Mr. E, Page, S.M., to three months' imprisonment. He had previously been placed on three years' probation on two similar charges and the magistrate remarked that he did not seem to have learned his lesson. The car was stated to have been damaged to the extent of from £100 to £150.
