FLOWER SHOW.
The flower show* organised by the Te Uku Women's Institute, was held 011 March 12 and was opened by Mr. liirkwood, president of the Raglan Horticultural Society. The weather was ideal, the attendance good and exhibits came forward in good numbers. Visitors were present from Te Mata and Raglan, and the judging was in the hands of Mr. and Mrs. V. E. Pegler, for the fruit ar.d vegetables; Misses Gilmour and Dent, needlework and floral section, and Mrs. Checkley, cooking and children's work. The stallholders were as follow: —Afternoon tea, Mcsdames Bromich and Cogswell; institute stall, Mrs. Featherst'nhaugh; fruit salad and sweets, Misse» Moon and Sutton; bring and buy, Mesda'mes Robinson and Wright; bran tub, Miss Featherstonhaugli. During tjie afternoon songs were given by Mesdau-.es Bromich and A. Moon, and Mrs. W. J. Lusty won the iced fruit cake.
