THAMES, Monday.

At a conference to-day in connection with the proposed amalgamation of the Thames and Waihi Hospital Board the following resolution was carried: —

"That a committee of the board be appointed to consider a basis of amalgamation, such proposed basis to bo submitted to the next meeting and, it' adopted, to be submitted to the Director of Health and the Waihi Board, with a view to a further conference."

The resolution was carried and a committee wag appointed eoiieistiiifi of Messrs. H«le. Danby, Brenan and WaltoTi. The conference was atteiuled s by the Director of Health, Ik. M. Hv Wuti;
