PARKS AND RESERVES.
ON SLIGHTLY REDUCED SCALE.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)
NAPIER, this day.
The Napier Town Commissioners propose to maintain the parks and reserves in Napier on a slightly reduced seal© of ornamentation. "What might be called the more permanent features of the reserves will be maintaind," said Commissioner J. S. Barton. "The financial position necessitates greatly reduced expenditure on parks and will almost certainly involve a reduction in staff, but the areas must be kept up to a certain extent."
