The value of the new water supply to the Mt. Wellington area was abundantly proved early on Monday morning, when the Ellerslie Fire Brigade turned out to quell an outbreak in the house and shop of Mr. Albeit Kilgour. The supply worked excellently.

The Ellerslie brigade also dealt efficiently this morning, with an outbreak in . outhouses adjoining the residence of Mr. Danzey, in Ladies Mile Road. -
