ELLERSUE BRIDGE.
Although no serious accident j> as occurred at the Ellerslie railway bridgeit has two bad turns, which, on occasion;have caused motor vehicles to wH I( | e with the iron rail poete. The bridge '' built at right-angles to the the problem of improving its position has been occupying the attention of W« Ellerslie Town Board for some time. This morning representatives of;tjj e Town Board met Mr. McFarlane, of tie Main Highways Board, Mr. R- *" Champtaloup, of the Auckland Automobile Association, and the district engineer of railways, and the bridge was inspected. Until the question of the.eost and the means of finding the money i» r improving the bridge were ascertained, no decision could be reached.
