SCOUTS' DAY OF DAYS.

Great Review in Sydney by

Lord Baden-Powell.

PRAISE FOR NEW ZEALANDERS

SYDNEY, March 22.

The greatest event of its kind ever witnessed in Sydney took place this afternoon on the Cricket Ground when 12,000 .Girl Guides, Boy Scouts and Cubs held a combined religious service in connection with Lord Baden-Powell's visit. There were more than 30,000 spectators. After the service Lady Baden-Powell addressed the Guides and Lord BadenPowell the Scouts and Cubs. The Chief Scout spoke mostly of his experiences in New Zealand, where, he said, the Scouts were equal to those in Australia. One of the proudest moments of his life was when he received a letter from a sailor on a warship telling him of the Scouts' wonderful assistance in the Hawke's Bay earthquake region. Lord .Baden-Powell yesterday reviewed the Scouts and Guides on Randwick racecourse. Great crowds watched the brilliant spectacle of youthful activity. 4fter the review more than 7000 Scouts made a brave show when they marched through the city. The Chief Scout visited the university and received an honorary doctorship of laws.
