OUTSIDERS IN NAPIER.

"There is something rotten in the State of Denmark" seeing that they have allowed carrying firms to come into Napier from outside when local lorry drivers are unemployed. My brother, who has stuck to it in Napier since the big shake till now, is idle because of this. His wife is cooking for three men in the backyard with no chimney, light, water or sanitation, but they both thought it better to carry on there if possible. Their small shop was wrecked and £250 worth of stock destroyed and looted. However, he had his lorry and thought it better for them to remain, but now he is out of work, thanks to big companies going to Napier and scooping the pool. Does it seem fair treatment to those who went through all that? FAIR.
