ST. CUTHBERT'S.
On Friday, March 20—St. Cuthbert's Day—the St. Cuthbert's College old girl 3 held their annual reunion and general meeting at the school. The weather was perfect and the early part of the afternoon was devoted to tennis, swimming and cricket. Tennis and cricket matches were played between the old girls and the present girls. The old girls won the cricket match and three out of four tennis matches. The present girls' A team beat the old girls' B team. Afternoon tea was served in the hall and following this the business meeting took place. Mrs. Lowric McGregor, the retiring president, was in the chair. The annual report for 1930-31 was read by the retiring secretary, Miss Nancy Whitclew, and the balance-sheet for 1930-31 was read by the retiring treasurer, Miss Ena Potter. The meeting voted in favour of an amendment being made to the constitution to the effect that the committee should in future be empowered to elect an executive vice-president from the four vicepresidents chosen at the general meeting. The following were elected: — President, Miss Tory Johnson; vicepresidents, Mrs. Lowrie McGregor, Misses Helen Seabrook, Era Potter, Val Roulston; committee, Misses Nancy Anderson, Laura Blakey, Joyce Carlaw, Phyl Gash, Effie Hardley, Gwen Hooper, Pearl Moore, Phyl Phillipps, Flora Robertson and Isabel Wells. The executive vicepresident, secretary and treasurer have still to be elected. Mrs. Lowrie McGregor was accorded a very hearty vote of thanks for the splendid work which she has done as president of the Old Girls' Association during the past two years. A small presentation was made to Miss Nancy Whitelaw, the retiring secretary, who is leaving very shortly for Sydney, en route for England. At the conclusion of the meeting the senior girls presented a play, "The Queen of Hearts." Parts were played by Margaret Shaw, Mary Macky, Jean McLeod, Isabel Pratt, Trixie Abel, Betty Will, Mary Rishworth, Edith Tuck and Helen Wilson. Among those present were:—Mesdames Lowrie McGregor, A.
