IN LIQUIDATION.
AFFAIRS OF CONTRACTORS
SUPREME COURT PROCEEDINGS
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)
WELLINGTON, this day
A large number of counsel were present in the Supreme Court to-day, when Mr. Justice Blair, on an application made by the liquidator for the Hansford and Mills Company,, contractors, was asked to decide a large number of questions that had arisen in the course of the liquidation of the company.
The greater part of to-day's proceedings were set aalue for consideration oi the question of liens by sub-contrac-tors and others in respect of various .contracts made at the time of liquidation. The contracts mentioned wore those of the new milk station, St. Patrick's College, Mount Victoria tunnel, and the war memorial. After discussion it was agreed to dispose first of all claims for liens which were uncontested by the liquidator, secondly to deal with contested liens, thirdly with the validity of various orders given by the company to creditors in respect of money owing to the company. The proceedings will probably hist two days or longer.
