HOUSE GUTTED.
GREY LYNN BLAZE. TWELVE ROOMS DAMAGED. A two-storeyed house of 14 rooms *t 11, Stanmore Road, Grey Lynn, owned by Mr. P. H. Gosse, of Great North Road, Avondale, was practically gutted by fire about 7.30 last evening. The occupants, Mr. and Mrs. F. Stanley, were absent at the time. When the City and Western Districts brigades arrived the fire had a 3trcng hold on both storeys, and flames were bursting' through the roof. Twelve rooms were gutted. Some of the contents in the three rooms occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Stanley were saved. The house was insured for £1200 with the Australian Alliance Assurance Co. The furniture was net insured.
