OUT OF CONTROL

MOTOR CAR WRECKED.

TWO YOUTHS ESCAPE LUCKILY,

Out of control, a motor car crashed through a fence at Arney Crescent, Remuera, early last' evening, and was wrecked. The occupants of the car were two youths. The driver, Ray Spedding, was slightly cut about the face. His companion escaped with a few scratches.

There is a steep grade where the accident occurred. The driver tried to change from second to low gear, but failed, and the car, gaining speed, swerved at a sharp corner and crashed into the fence.

The noise of the smash aroused a number of residents in the crescent, and they gave assistance to the youths.
