HORSES FROM WANGANUI. KNOLLMERE ANE 1 PARATOO. (Special to " Star.") WANGANUI, Wednesday. W. H. Dw.ver intends taking both Paratoo and Knollmere to Awapuni on Friday. The pair will do their Easter racing at l-'eilding in preference to Ellerslie. It is .safe to say Knollmere is in better form than ever, and the way he is shaping on the tracks makes his prospects of winning another race or two shortly very bright. The best has not yet been seen of the son of Grandcourt. Paratoo \vill have to take on open company if he wins a race at Awapuni. He is going very well on the tracks, and will take a lot of beating in his races. Early in the season Korokio knocked a knee, and she occasionally seems a bit lame on it after a gallop. She will race at Awapuni on Tuesday all going well, and it will probably depend upon how she shapes there whether she and Just an Idea will go South for the C.J.C. Easter meet-

inc. If the southern trip does not eventuate. Just a:i Idea will be seen out at Feilding at Easter. He looks all the better for his race at Bulls, and should not be long in picking up a stake or two. The Warden was taken to Opunake and started in the hurdles on Tuesday. He was in the lead early, and jumped a couple of hurdles well. He then lost his rider (H. Dulieti), who had an arm badly bruised, probably broken. The gelding finished the course on his own. He was saddled up an hour or so later for the Railway Hack flat, in which he was beaten by the narrowest of margins for second place.
