AUCKLAND'S HARBOUR BRIDGE SCHEME.—Approval of the Harbour Bridge legislation was given at; meetings of the Takapuna and Devonport Borough Councils last evening. This view from Northcote shows the northern terminus of the proposed structure, and the dotted line indicates approximately where the bridge is to be built. The central span of 800 ft will be 135 ft above high water—about the height of the flagpole in the right of the picture. The bridge will run across from the reserve of the Northcote Point to St. Mary's Bay, and thence to Fanshawe Street. A number of residences on the point will be affected by the Northcote approach.
